And aside from a few smaller games and certain Capcom franchises like Ace Attorney, pretty much the entire library is available physically. It's the only modern system I can think of without any half-physical games, or collections where you have to download one of the games, or where a significant chunk of the physical releases are limited run nonsense that'll be $500 online if you miss your chance to nab them (the irony being that the first ever LRG 3DS release literally went live earlier today, lol). However, at this point, I sort of see Nintendo 3DS as the last gasp for pure physical gaming in the medium. How would you say it compares to the Money, and, for a long time, I didn't really care about collecting games for the system at the time. I understand and appreciate the need for keeping the forum tidy, which is why I rarely create threads, but I really don't think having one more thread in a largely dead part of the site is going to bother I never bothered with it because the first one wasn't really my jam. We're not primarily discussing the New 3DS, and 99% of these games work fine on the old 3DS as well. Almost all the posts pertain to aspects about the system itself. Once I get them all installed, may want to try Captain Toad and Yoshi's Wooly World to check 3D I thought about that, so I checked the thread out. So many games, hard to decide what to play. Prime at least gave destinations- you just had to figure out how to get there. REALLY want to play that but I need direction. Seems nomatter where I go I only end up in places I've already been. I'm in area 2? Some fire chambers around. Also started Zelda Ocarina of Time, but from the beginning since this 3DS doesn't have my save file. Oh, I started Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story. But so do the smaller games- Mario vs DK games, BoxBoy, Steamworld Dig 2, etc. Kinda want to play FE Fates Revelation, which I never played. Even just having the sprites and text show in the foreground is awesome. I know you said Atlus wasn't the best at it but honestly, I like the effect so much I've been happy with it so far in the SMT games. Played some Persona Q2- really wish it were 3D. Can hold L, Dpad Down, Select at any time to bring up a menu where you can overclock (super simple, single option you check to increase clock), take screenshots, use cheats (yes! The new Checkpoint save manager has cheats you can install for every game, and they're built in to the app automatically, then once installed you do the L/Down/Select while in game to turn them on or off as desired via the menu- infinite money in SMT4 Apocalypse, max app points, etc). I updated to latest hack and holy crap, it's so good now. Oh btw, the hack scene on 3DS now is muah! Chef's kiss all the way. Started SMT Strange Journey but that was on other 3DS- will have to start over on this system. Started DQM Joker 3 and got a save going. Steamworld Dig 2 (love the 3D effect- I actually like these games more on 3DS than Switch!). Also tried Liberation Maiden for a bit, and Shovel Knight and Severed. But at work I did start SMTIV Apocalypse today. Haven't had much time to play because my other two are shipped out and this one I'm just dumping carts nonstop. So portable, games look so much better on the smaller screen too. My other two 3DS (white New 3DS and gold Zelda New 3DS XL) I just shipped out to XCubicle to get their top screens replaced. I'm currently only 20 games in, so it may take another week or so of dumping carts before I'm done. I took my backup black New 3DS (faceplates model) which was hacked and put back in the box years ago, and applied a glass screen protector on it, installed all my VC games, installed all my digital titles, and am now going through my physical library and, one by one, dumping the carts into. And with 50 SNES VC games, 50 GBA VC games, couple NES and GBC games, 50 digital only titles, about 25 apps for various things (save manager, theme manager, homebrew, etc) that only leaves room for about 125 retail games. Plus, 3DS can only show 300 installed apps- after that they're invisible and you won't see them appear until you delete something else. Is there any particular reason you sold off some of your library? Weren't into collecting or just needed money at the time? I'm the same way inasmuch that, I don't care about a collection having shovelware or games that aren't good enough to at least have a following, even if it's niche (like the guild games, those have a following- you clearly like some of them, so I grabbed all 7).
